We’ve always been known for our Telly Breakfast, but for short time after the pandemic, we didn’t serve it.
Unfortunately, we broke a few hearts in the process.
The good news is brunch is back and bigger than ever.
But before we go into that, let us re-introduce you to a Lethbridge favourite.
The Taphouse breakfast
When we re-introduced brunch, we thought it was the perfect time to revisit our classic breakfast.
Now, that doesn’t mean we totally changed it, but we did tweak it a bit.
It still starts with eggs your way and your choice of bacon or sausage, with, of course, hash browns and toast on the side. But now, we’re including our favourite brunch beverage – an 8 oz glass of The Babe Tangerine Dream beer by Jasper brewing. Brewed with tangerine juice, The Babe is beer’s answer to the mimosa and makes the perfect companion for brunch.
If, however, you’re not feeling like beer at 9 o’clock in the morning, we got you. You can swap the beer for coffee, tea or any other non-alcoholic beverage.
Our extended brunch
Now that we’ve covered our tried-and-true, let’s get on to the exciting and new.
Whether you like savoury or sweet, healthy or all-the-carbs-I-can-get, we’ve got you covered with our breakfast-style brunch options. We’ll give you a little taste of some of the favourites.
Norwegian Benedict – Poached eggs over smoked salmon on an English muffin, covered in hollandaise sauce, and topped with chives and lemon zest. Served with hash browns and a grilled tomato.
Bruschetta Avocado Toast –Rye toast with Boursin spread, smashed avocados, ripe tomatoes, garlic, basil, arugula and balsamic glaze, with the option to add a poached egg.
Belgian Waffles –Two fluffy Belgian waffles with haskap & mixed berry coulis and Grand Marnier whipped cream. Served with a choice of crisp bacon or sausage.
But for those who prefer a more ‘lunch-y’ brunch, we’ve got you covered as well. The brunch menu includes a variety of typical Telegraph fare, including:
The Union Club House – A triple-decker toasted sandwich with grilled chicken, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.
French Onion Soup Au Gratin – Beef and onion broth served with a crust of bread and parmesan cheese.
Bison Burger – Old Man River Bison Co. patty, heirloom pepper relish, arugula, local cheddar, bacon, and tomato on a potato bun.
